You should also keep in mind that it is always a good idea to use a combination of antennas with varying dBi in order to achieve better overall coverage and fewer blind spots.
To choose the appropriate antenna with regards to the LoRa frequency of your region, please refer to the TTN's guide, and/or the Regional Parameters Documentation provided by the LoRa Alliance.
Note: This antenna is designed to be directly mounted on the enclosure of the Gateway. It is suitable for RAK7240 and RAK7249. The antenna is compatible with Outdoor Enclosure for RAK Hotspot V2, Bobcat Outdoor Enclosure Kit, and Antenna Magnetic Base.
Note: The included RP-SMA to N-type cable with the antenna is for indoor use only.
If selected with the N-type to RP-SMA Connector Type the antenna will include a converter cable, making it fully compatible with RAK's WisGate Developer Gateways and MNTD and RAK V2 Hotspots. This antenna is too long to be attached directly to a gateway/hotspot enclosure's N-typo connector. To avoid damaging the connector especially in windy season, we recommend using a feeder line cable and securing the antenna with brackets, away from the enclosure.
